About me:
I have been at Roosevelt for about 5 five years. I started as an intern at Roosevelt in December 2019 teaching kindergarten. I taught first grade for three years, and now I am in my first year of TK. I enjoy seeing children inquire about the world around them using many senses, tools, and resources. Teaching is my passion and I am honored to be able to do it everyday. Roosevelt’s diversity and focus on equity and inclusion help me to make my classroom a safe and welcoming environment for all my students to feel able to learn, explore, and grow.
I enjoy doing various types of arts and crafts. I love spending time with my mother, grandmother, and dog Lyla Rae. I attended San Jose State University where I obtained my B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development Summa Cum Laude in 2017. I received my Multiple Subject Credential from Notre Dame de Namur University in 2020, and completed my induction program through the Redwood City School District. I am now working on Masters of Arts for English Language Learning (PreK-12) from Western Governors University.
