1st Grade - Kamlley, Kayla

I am going into my third and half year of teaching. I started as an intern at Roosevelt in December 2019 teaching kindergarten. I have been teaching first grade for the past two years. I enjoy seeing children inquire about the world around them using many senses, tools, and resources. Teaching is my passion and I am honored to be able to do it everyday. Roosevelt’s diversity and inclusion help me to make my classroom a safe and welcoming environment for all my students to feel able to learn, explore, and grow. I enjoy anything Disney, especially collecting pins, and doing various types of arts and crafts. I love spending time with my mother, grandmother, and dog Lyla Raw. I attended San Jose State University where I obtained my B.A. in Child and Adolescent Development Summa Cum Laude in 2017. I received my Multiple Subject Credential from Notre Dame de Namur University in 2020, and recently completed my induction program through the Redwood City School District.
