8th Grade - Stickel, Kate

Hello, my name is Kate Stickel and I teach 8th grade English-Language Arts and Social Studies at Roosevelt. This is my 15th year of teaching middle school, but my first year at Roosevelt. I love helping young learners develop the skills they will need to be successful in life. 

I did my undergraduate study at UCLA, where I majored in History and minored in Education. I then moved up to the Bay Area, and got my teaching credential at CSUEB and my master’s degree at Saint Mary’s College.

I love to be outside, and Yosemite is my favorite National Park to visit! In the summertime, I usually travel to a new country. I love trying to visit all of the places we learn about in history class.
